Special properties
Our most durable aluminum paint for interior or exterior work where a
tough, weather-resistant aluminum coating is desired.
Where to use
No. 32 Aluminum is recommended for wood and metal surfaces, interior and
exterior applications. It is especially well suited for use on roofs,
downspouts, gutters, etc.
Surface preparation
Surfaces to be painted must be clean, smooth and free of dirt, dust, mildew,
grease, flaking and chipping paint, and other surface contamination. On
previously painted surfaces, one coat of No. 32 if the surface is in good
condition. Rusty metal should be spot primed with No.1002 Gray Metalguard
Primer or No.900 Red Zinc Chromate Primer. On new wood or masonry surfaces,
apply two coats of No. 32, allowing 24 to 48 hours drying time between
coats, depending on the weather and other conditions which affect drying.
Application
Apply only when the air temperature and that of the surface to be painted
are above 45 degrees F. For best results, do not apply in direct sunlight.
Avoid painting late in the day when dew or condensation are likely to
form or when rain is threatening. Stir thoroughly before using.
